Well, basically my class took a trip to the Adirondacks in Eastern New York State. We left on Tuesday, the 27th and got back on the 30th, a Friday. It was a lot of fun, even though it was nothing like I expected it to be.
I really can’t say what my favourite part was. I liked so much. I really enjoyed white water rafting the first day, though. I got to be a paddler, which was awesome and wet! We saw a bald eagle. I’ve never seen one before, so that was pretty cool. I almost fell in, but I have my friend to thank. If she hadn’t been clinging to my knee, I would’ve ended up in the water. Who knew an annoyance could save you?
Another highlight was the first night. There was a dance, but half the time I didn’t dance. And when I did, me and my friend did the carmel dansen even though the music was completely off. When we weren’t dancing we were trying to balance spoons from our noses. xDD
The second night was also pretty awesome. We went to this place called the Fun Spot. It has a cheesy restaurant, mini golf, Go-Karts, a bouncy house, roller skating, an arcade, and Lazer Tag. Me and two of my friends started on Go-Karts. We tried to pass our English teacher, but he’s way too good and my car didn’t go that fast because it was retarded. So then we went inside to eat because the line was really long and when we were done it was still long. Thus, we went in the Bouncy House. That wasn’t all that awesome, but kind of fun I guess. Since it wasn’t a blast, we went to the Lazer Tag. My two friends ditched me there, because it was too crowded, so I found two kind of friends and went on their team. When it was over I waited outside, because I figured that the two friends who had ditched me might have gone in for the next round, which was less crowded. Well, they hadn’t, so I went in with another friend who appeared just in time for the next round. So we did two rounds together and our team beat the guts out of the other one the second round.
On day three, the buses all went to Vermont and we stopped at the Ben and Jerry’s factory. I’ve been there twice, but this was the first time I got to go on the tour (it was short and bland, but kind of interesting at the same time). I got Cherry Garcia, which is really, really good. Trust me, if you ever end up there, get it! ^^ I also bought a tie-dye bracelet in the gift shop that says “Peace, Love, & Ice Cream”.
There was another dance that night and it was on a cruise thingy. Me and my friends didn’t do any dancing, though. We just hung out on the top deck and acted all hyper.
On the last day we went to the amusement park for four hours. Me and my friend had an awesome time. We went on both roller coasters and, surprisingly, the wooden one was better. We smashed into a bunch of people in the bumper cars and we smashed ourselves up in the mirror maze. There was also this awesome log ride that was… well… awesome! The spinning swing ride was kind of lame, though.
Well, most of the trip was educational, but I don’t want to bore you to death with all the lousy muesums we went to. So… um… yeah!
